Scrappy Hollow April Class

This week is the last week of my classes at Scrappy Hollow.

I would really like to thank everyone who has supported my paper crafting journey by attending my classes or purchasing a kit over the three years I have been teaching at the store.  My decision to leave has not been an easy one and I know I will miss all of the lovely friends I have made along the way and hope we stay in touch through Facebook and this blog.  I hope to return to participating in my favourite card challenges and share my paper crafting adventure further with you after a short break.

So..... here is what we made this month!

The papers were from the Prima Delight collection and we used the 6x6 paper pads.  As usual we played with some of the awesome My Favorite Things die-namics:

  1. Treat Pocket
  2. Mini Tag from Blueprints 6
  3. Border from Blueprints 8
  4. Tag You’re It
  5. Gift Card Pocket
  6. Tattered Hearts
  7. Layered Treat Tag
  8. Mini Heart Border
  9. MPD Butterflies
  10. Leafy Flourish
  11. Love greetings
We also used some walnut ink to transform vellum, a bulldog clip to make a free standing tag pocket, an embossed glassine bag and a Cottage Cut die cut treat pocket.  All of the items made fit neatly into the shabby but chic co-ordinating gift box.
There is a new teacher taking over my classes at Scrappy Hollow - Maree.  I wish her all the best and hope she enjoys the journey ahead and the fun times to be had teaching such a lovely group of ladies.
Thank you all so much and stay tuned I will be back playing with paper some day soon!

Engagement Gift

Just wanted to pop by and share some pics of an engagement gift set I created for our friends daughter for her engagement.

I have been having a bit of a break from card making but I had heaps of fun putting this set together for this lovely couple.

I have mad a decorated gift box, gift card pocket and gift card. I must apologise for the photography - bit of a rush to take the pics to share and the photo booth is packed away as we are renovating the room it is normally set up in.

This is the gift card pocket made from an envelope and just perfect to fir the gift card in.
This is the card which we put inside the box with the gift card pocket.

As you can see I had fun die cutting most of the elements and yes - they were MFT die-namics!  The flower is heaps of fun to make and l just had to add some layered heart, tags and my new found love - enamel dots!
We had a great night celebrating and we hope the happy couple have a life filled with joy, love and good times!

Scrappy Hollow March and April Classes

Wow the month has flown by and it was my teaching week at Scrappy Hollow this week.

Absolutely loved seeing some familiar friends and welcoming some new ones to classes at Scrappy Hollow.

I also shared some news with the ladies that I will be leaving Scrappy Hollow at Easter time and April will be my last class.  A sad decision I have not made lightly and I am sure I will miss the store team and cards ladies.

Anyway enough sad news - lets move onto happy and bright cards!!!

This is what we created this month in class!

These cards were made with the bright and versatile Kaisercraft Confetti range.  We also made feathers from Washi tape, had fun with chevrons and layering.  These are the MFT die-namics dies we used:
  1. Arrows & Feather
  2. 3x4 Journal It Card
  3. Chevron Cover Up
  4. Happy Hellos
  5. Chevron Peek a Boo
  6. Chevron Stripes
  7. Just the Ticket
Here is a sneak peek of next months class - Bags Tags and Pockets galore in a cute box.  This class is sold out so thank you everyone for your continued support of my card making journey! The sample is on display in the store!
Thanks for dropping by!
